CPTED (Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design) is a set of strategies aimed at reducing crime and the fear of crime by increasing community awareness and confidence. CPTED also focuses on preventing the opportunity for crime in urban spaces by encouraging community particpation and space management at the local level.
